Who is Saltey?
Good Day
I really don’t don’t know where to start so let me try the beginning.
I made my career in life to begin with as a RN. I thoroughly enjoyed making a difference in the lives of those I cared for. I loved the feeling it gave me to make a difference in the lives I touched. When you do that special thing that makes your patients day is the most wonderful feeling. But things got cut short for me. During my career I suffered physically from the stress and the long hours usual day was 14 hours. I had several heart attacks over the years five to be exact. And was forced into retirement after my last one.
What does an old nurse with a goatee do next, well he meets a gal they fall in love she asks him to fill in his beard and they get married when you say. the day after Christmas with a reception with Christmas cookies and hot cocoa. Then they go on their hunnymoon and travel to the beach and go to a show.
Well that’s when the magic hits. I’m standing there with my new bride. We both see this little girl across the room who is really trying to tell her dad something. What do you think it was you guessed it she saw Santa in me. Next thing I know the dad is standing next to me and whispers my daughter thinks your Santa can she talk to you. I always loved children and always loved Christmas so I said sure. Well right there is where it all began I bent down talked to her her excitement was contagious and really got my emotions going again I felt at home. Then we ended our conversation and she turned to walk away and turned back and asked me for a hug. I said sure I knelt down again she wrapped those little arms around me and gave me a squeeze the I stood up she started walking away but stopped and turned around again and said One More hug I said sure I was still brimming from the first one I knelt down again and there she hugged me again. After they walked away I turned to my bride and said that’s it santa that’s it that’s what I’m supposed to do now. And so it began I have enjoyed every opertunity.

Ps praise god over the years since my last heart attack I have also taken pride in caring for myself and I have achieved milestones in my health and now I’m very healthy walking riding a bike and have lost 100 pounds and have been able to come off several medications. 📷
